My name is Jon Semancik of Marvin Test Solutions, and I am honoured & excited to have been selected as the new President of the PXI Systems Alliance (PXISA).   T&M firm for military, aerospace & manufacturing organisations, Marvin Test Solutions (MTS) has announced that its Director of Marketing, Jon Semancik, has been elected to the position of President of the PXI Systems Alliance (PXISA), effective immediately.

  What is a standard? Well, it depends on your perspective. Webster’s Dictionary defines a standard as “a level of quality or attainment” and “an idea or thing used as a measure, norm or model in comparative evaluations”. In the world of money, it can describe what value is behind the currency – for instance, American currency was once underpinned by the ‘Gold Standard’.

I’m Bob Stasonis, President of the PXI Systems Alliance (PXISA) – and in my second year of stewardship of the PXI standard, I still see plenty of activity, despite the COVID-19 lockdown that much of the world is currently in. PXISA members continue to innovate, introducing new instrumentation, chassis, switching, mass interconnects & other supporting accessories.

  2018 marks the 20th anniversary of PXISA. Few people predicted the success of PXI in 1998, when the PXISA was formed with only a handful of products available. Initially perceived as a low-performance platform, PXI has since far exceeded users’ expectations – becoming the dominant modular standard for T&M systems.
