Samsung live launch

13 August 2015

Samsung unpacked the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+ with improved features and new technology.

In an attempt to race ahead and beat the launch of Apple’s latest iPhone in September, Samsung released the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+ ahead of the company’s normal schedule to get the new phones in the shops first.

The Galaxy Note 5 comes in a slimmer, smaller package, made with stronger metal and glass. Stylishly created with a curved back, the design allows the user to comfortably use the phone with one hand. Ideal for multi-taskers, a larger screen lets them do more. Evolving from ‘nice to have’ to ‘must have’, the large screen allows users to watch TV/films and use the camera in a more interactive way. The improved S pen stylus is now more precise and efficient, providing instant access to S pen tools so you can quickly sign business forms or write a message in no time.

Samsung also launched the Keyboard Cover, a versatile cover and keyboard allowing. Not only can the keyboard be used to type a quick email or reminder but it easily slides around the back and forms part of the cover to free the screen for gaming and scrolling.

The Galaxy S6 Edge+ has improved features and design in a compact size. The screen is larger but the phone itself is smaller, intensifying the multi-media experience. Also featured is a high quality camera with deeper, richer and more vibrant colours. An exciting new feature for the S6 Edge+ is the ability to conduct live broadcasting in real-time. Keep you and your friends up to date instantly by broadcasting directly to YouTube from your phone.

The Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+ both have a 5.7 HD display and boast a 4GB storage capacity, allowing for more storage and constant multi-tasking without slowing the phone down. Their innovative technology also means the phones will be able to support the fastest 4G networks.

Connecting devices quickly and easily is now available with Samsung’s Sidesync, allowing users to connect mobile devices straight to laptops so all information can be shared.

Both phones have an improved battery life with Samsung’s idea of a ‘cord-free future’. Fast wireless charging allows charging of the phone to full battery in under 2 hours, wirelessly. Companies such as Starbucks and Ikea have already invested in wireless charging units and eventually you will be able to charge the phone anytime and anywhere, cord free.

The Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+ will launch in the US and Canada on the 21st August 2015 and are available for pre-order now.
