Piezo aluminium pads are 1P68-rated

Rapid Electronics now offers the piezo operated aluminium keypads from CamdenBoss for access control in extremes.
They are intended for use in extremes of climate and moisture. They offer the highest level of dust and water protection, says the company. For example, they can be submerged in water for two hours with no effect on performance. They have no moving parts to wear out and fail, and are machined from a single piece of solid aluminium, giving them a lifespan of up to 50million operations.
The keypads are available in 3x4 and 4x4 formats, and are easy to clean due to the tightly closed surface. The potted switching at the rear of the keypad also prevents contamination and freezing. The pads are ideal for integration into applications for outdoor and extreme environments.
The company also offers IP68 programmable access control products, including an aluminium anti-vandal proximity reader, exit switchand standalone door entry controller.
