Two PXI Express chassis from Geotest-Marvin Test Systems, the GX7200 is a 21-slot chassis and the GX7800 is an eight-slot, low cost PXI chassis.

The GX7200 features the most slots in the industry, claims the company, and requires only a single slot for the controller, providing 20-slots for supporting PXI-1, PXI-hybrid, and PXIe modules.

The backplane architecture supports the use of both one or four system controllers and the system power supply provides 900W of system power. Smart features include monitoring slot temperatures and system power supply voltages as well as the ability to program or map each PXI trigger line from one PCI segment to another. Users can program the temperature monitoring function for specific warning and shutdown limits as well as monitor and control fan speed. All user-specific set ups can be stored in non-volatile memory as a user configuration and can be used as the default set-up for normal chassis operation.

The GX7800 is an eight-slot, 3U PXI chassis which can accommodate up to seven instruments as well as an embedded three-slot PXI controller or an external bus controller. It  occupies only 9x18inches of bench space. The chassis features a 450W system power supply with high capacity chassis cooling provided by to two 79CFM fans located under the card cage. The chassis’ cooling configuration provides airflow for all module slot meeting PXI specification and requires no additional rack space for inlet or outlet air.
