Innovative E2E technology transforms touch screen market

11 February 2013

Edge-2-Edge (E2E) is the latest innovation from GPEG, designed to combine
the benefits of resistive touch and projected capacitive technologies in one

The increasing functionality and sophistication of electronic products is
driving the demand for touch screens. Up until now the majority of touch
screen displays used resistive technology, due in large part to its lower
cost and higher precision when compared to capacitive technologies.

GPEG has successfully integrated the characteristics of both technologies to
create a high-resolution, practical and cost-effective solution.

The bezel less touch screen display can cope with the rigours of oil, water
and grease and can be operated when wearing gloves or with a stylus. Its
flush finish makes it aesthetically attractive, as well as easy to integrate
in different applications.

Features include optional dual touch, which provides choice in how the
display can operate and manipulate data, providing a range of functions. A
choice of glass or polymer finishes allows customers to adapt the display
and its optical characteristics.

Displays are available in four, five and eight-wire models and a range of
standard sizes.
