Lower cost of entry for mixed domain oscilloscopes
09 October 2012
Tektronix has launched two new entry-level models to its MDO4000 range of mixed domain oscilloscopes.
Building on the popularity of the original oscilloscopes in the series, the company has listened to customers looking for similar features and functionality at a lower cost. The two new oscilloscopes are targeted at designers building products that feature inexpensive RF technologies such as Zigbee and RFID.
The MDO4000 series of oscilloscopes allows designers to capture time correlated analogue, digital and RF signals on the same screen giving a complete system view.
The new MDO4014-3 and MDO4034-3 models offer four analogue channels, 16 digital channels and one RF channel. With prices starting from $12,200, the new models offer analogue bandwidths of 100MHz and 350MHz respectively, sufficient for many embedded designs incorporating RF. RF frequency range for both models extends from 50kHz to 3GHz.
