NEW North Africa has a new date
21 January 2011
NEW Events Ltd have taken the decision to postpone National Electronics Week North Africa until June 2011 following the recent demonstrations that have been occurring in Tunisia.
The exhibition, which was due to take place in March in Tunis, is a collaboration between NEW Events Ltd and the National Electronics Week brand event, Italian-based organisation Tecnoimprese, and the FORTRONIC conference brand.
Despite the postponement, the event will still have a one day dedicated conference programme on Energy Efficiency by Tecnoimprese, followed by a conference programme from NEW Events focusing on electronic manufacturing processes and standards taking place alongside the international exhibition.
Rob Saunders, Director for NEW Events, commented: “It is disappointing that we have decided to postpone the nearly sold out event, however, NEW Events and our partners Tecnoimprese are committed to providing a quality electronics event in North Africa and we both believe that it would be better for exhibitors and visitors if we were to wait until later in the year to host the Exhibition and Conference.”
North Africa is a vibrant and exciting region for electronics production and Tunisia is currently ranked number one in North Africa for innovation with this region, hosting over 120 specific manufacturing companies, including ST Microelectronics, Sagem, and Siemens.
The exact dates and location for National Electronics Week North Africa are due to be announced soon.
