Website offers tools to accelerate digital design development.

Agilent Technologies has introduced its Digital Test Solutions and Expertise Online Centre. The learning site gives customers a range of tools on high-speed digital test, including USB 3.0, DisplayPort and HDMI, SATA/SAS, PCI Express, MIPI and memory.

The environment for computer and consumer-electronics companies requires extremely fast new product creation utilising more advanced devices. To be successful, design engineers require the most current information in standards like USB, SATA, PCI Express, HDMI, DisplayPort and memory. Agilent's Digital Test Solution and Expertise Online Centre was created to assist in the design of the latest in ‘life-style’ electronics.

Information includes:
• Current industry events, plug fests, development conferences and workshops;
• Access to Agilent experts for physical-layer, protocol-layer and compliance testing
• Application notes, white papers, expert blogs
• Digital test applications

"Agilent's new online portal provides the expertise digital designers need at the earliest stages of the development cycle," said Sigi Gross, General Manager and Vice President of Agilent's Digital Test Division. "Our application-optimised measurement information tools and data collection helps engineers find information fast and easy, enabling much faster time to market and improved product quality."

Agilent's solutions for digital applications are driven and supported by Agilent experts who are involved in various international standards committees. Experts from the Agilent Digital Test Standards Program are active in the Joint Electronic Devices Engineering Council (JEDEC), PCI-SIG, Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA), Serial ATA International Organisation (SATA-IO), Serial Attached SCSI (T10), USB-Implementers Forum (USB-IF), MIPI Alliance, Ethernet standards (IEEE 802.3), Optical Internetworking Forum (OIF), and many others.
