Computing Hardware Optimised for Embedded Vision Workloads

The Advantech ROM-6881 is a series of SMARC 2.1 computer-on-modules (CoMs) intended for utilisation in modern embedded vision applications.

Based on Rockchip’s 64-bit, 2.4GHz operation RK3588 and RK3588J processing devices, these units can deliver up to 6.0TOPS of artificial intelligence (AI) inferencing capability. Their multi-core processors support high-resolution video (8K encoding at a 30fps frame rate and 8K decoding at 60fps). Each board has an integrated graphics processing unit (GPU) for superior 3D image rendering. MIPI, USB 3.0, USB 2.0, HDMI and LVDS/DSI interfacing are all incorporated. Key uses will include autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), cobots, surveillance, IoT, medical, etc.
