EMS Firm Offering Fully-Funded Apprenticeships

24 June 2024

Welsh electronic manufacturing services (EMS) provider Philtronics is looking to extend its engineering talent pool by opening up new apprentice opportunities.

This will be done in conjunction with the Network75 work placement/part-time study initiative and Merthyr College’s Aspire program. It will see those participating getting opportunity to learn valuable engineering skills - both in the classroom and on the factory floor.

According to Simon Pritchard, CEO of Philtronics; “We have seen time and time again the positive impact a fully funded apprenticeship has on a young person’s career progression. A fully funded apprenticeship allows student to gain hands on experiences in a real working environment and develop their skills and confidence, something a university degree cannot always guarantee.”
