80V/100V MOSFET Devices

19 June 2024

Further strengthening its OptiMOS 7 MOSFET series, Infineon Technologies has now announced 80V and 100V rated versions.

Complementing the previously released devices, these will mean that the migration to 48V automotive power systems can be addressed. They will also be applicable in e-scooters, e-motorcycles, agricultural equipment, etc. Thanks to the topology employed, the on-state resistance values that can be achieved go down to 1.3mOhm. Both reduced switching losses and an extended safe operating area (SOA) are benefited from. Versions can be purchased in SSO8 (5mm x 6mm), dual SSO8 (5mm x 6mm), mTOLG (8mm x 8mm) and sTOLL (7mm x 8mm) packages.

“As a technology leader in power semiconductors, Infineon is committed to shape the future technology standards in automotive power MOSFETs in terms of power efficiency, innovative and robust power packaging with high quality,” Axel Hahn, SVP of Infineon’s Automotive LV MOSFETs division, comments. “We are providing our customers a diverse product portfolio and are addressing all their requirements to drive the development of modern automotive applications.”
