RISC-V Core Sets New Power-Efficiency Benchmarks

Aimed at acutely power-restricted applications, such as those relating to IoT, the 32-bit Codasip L110 RISC-V processing core offers several key attributes.

Compared to competing cores on the market, it delivers up to 50% better performance/Watt characteristics and a 20% reduction in code size too. Customisation via the Codasip Studio Fusion tool means that application-specific instructions can be incorporated. Consequently, customers can accelerate project completion timeframes. Extension of the processing core can be done without any risk exposure, since the functionality of the baseline core is immutable. Furthermore an advanced verification framework makes the verification of custom instructions very straightforward.
