Magnetic Sensors for Accurate Determining of Motor Position

Exhibiting strong stray field resilience (thanks to the plate arrangement employed), the TDK Micronas HAL 302x series of Hall effect sensors can now be purchased via Rutronik.

Aimed at motor control, these AEC-Q100-qualified devices deliver differential or single-ended sine and cosine analogue signals. They enable fast rotor angle determination (across the full 360°) for more effective motor operation. The EEPROMs featured in these sensors' signal paths may be pre-programmed. Consequently, the devices can be individually adjusted in relation to signal amplification, offset, bandwidth, etc. They are supplied in compact 8-pin surface-mount SOIC packages. Over-voltage and reverse polarity protection mechanisms are included and a -40°C up to 170°C operational temperature range is supported. Key applications include automotive motor installations, industrial pumps, etc.
