Target Device Configuration Solution

Addressing the growing need for customer-specific and device-specific configuration of microelectronics targets to ensure their security, SEGGER has introduced its Device Provisioner platform.

This will be applicable to its Flasher in-circuit programming units, plus its J-Link and J-Trace debug and trace probes (being provided as part of the software packages that accompany these items). Through Device Provisioner, users will be able to customise and adapt their provisioning of connected devices - with conditioning, programming (including special areas), downloading of certificates, serial number assignment, locking and unlocking, as well as security activation and TrustZone/partitioning configuration all being encompassed. Users can also enable/disable debugging, set fuses, program option Bytes and flash, etc. It has the flexibility needed to deal with variations in provisioning requirements of the microelectronics products supplied by different vendors.
