NFC Bridge Tag Delivers Contactless IoT Authentication

28 May 2024

In order to support the ongoing operational coherence of large-scale IoT installations and prevent potential security breaches, Infineon’s OPTIGA Authenticate NBT NFC bridge tag supports asymmetric cryptography.

Using this tag, which is based on the company’s Integrity Guard 32 security architecture, authentication and secured configuration of IoT nodes is made quick and simple. It allows rapid, seamless data transfer to be conducted between nodes and reader units, even when there are large data volumes involved. The I2C interfacing supports data rates of up to 1Mbits/s. A built-in 8kByte memory resource is available for storage of customer and application information.
