09 May 2024

In order to bring greater data protection to edge-located equipment, such as IoT nodes, smart sensors, etc., NXP has just unveiled its latest hardware secure element.

The EdgeLock SE052F is ahead of the game, thanks to being 1st to be certified for the Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS 140-3) standard. It benefits from an array of advanced cryptographic capabilities. These include elliptic curve digital signature algorithm (ECDSA), elliptic-curve Diffie–Hellman (ECDH), Brainpool curves, Rivest-Shamir-Adleman (RSA) and advanced encryption standard (AES) encryption functions

“Security is crucial to the success of the IoT,” states Alasdair Ross, Senior Director for NFC IoT Security at NXP. “The EdgeLock SE052F enables hassle-free and flexible trust provisioning and FIPS certification for our customers, allowing them to bring differentiated products to market more quickly.”
