Built-in Code Generator Support for Latest RISC-V Microcontrollers

SEGGER’s popular Embedded Studio integrated development environment (IDE) has now been interwoven with the Renesas Smart Configurator code generator. Consequently, engineers will be provided with comprehensive support for the semiconductor vendor’s R9A02G021 32-bit RISC-V microcontroller units (MCUs).

Via the Smart Configurator tool, MCU peripherals (like timers, interfaces and interrupt controllers) can be graphically configured, with source code being generated that can then be used by Embedded Studio in carrying out project implementations. Engineers will be able to take advantage of the industry-leading code optimisation offered by the integrated C/C++ compiler and sophisticated debug capabilities encompassed.
