Application-Ready 3.5” Format Hardware Delivers Strong Performance Parameters

Part of its aReady initiative, congatec’s conga-HPC series presents engineers with commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS), 3.5” carrier boards for use in IIoT installations.

With their 146mm x 102mm footprint, these units will be of particular value in situations where there is very limited available space. Their robustness means they can be employed in even the most uncompromising of application environments (coping with a -40 to +85°C operating temperature range and a 90% relative humidity). Versions can be specified that feature the Intel Core i7, i5 and i3 multi-core microprocessors, with cache capacities reaching 24MBytes being available. The array of interfaces encompassed includes 2x RJ45 Ethernet ports, 4x USB Type A ports and 1x USB Type C ports, plus SPI, I2C, CAN and SATA III. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and cellular connectivity are also featured. 3x M.2 slots enable expansion card attachment - so that artificial intelligence (AI) accelerators and additional data storage capacity can be accessed. Operating systems supported include Microsoft Windows 11 IoT Enterprise, Windows 10, Windows 10 IoT Enterprise, Linux and Yocto.
