240W-Rated Reference Design for USB Power Delivery

02 April 2024

The Extended Range USB Power Delivery 3.1 reference design hardware now available via Arrow makes use of Infineon's cutting-edge power control technology.

This allows up to 240W of power sinking capabilities to be derived from a single USB source (with 5A being output at 48V). Intended for high-density USB-enabled system implementations, with low bill-of-materials (BoM) costs, the reference design features the German semiconductor vendor’s EZ-PD PMG1 microcontroller units (MCUs). Key uses include the development of AGVs/AMRs, drones, healthcare equipment, eBikes, domestic appliances, power tools, etc.
