New BeagleBoard Hardware Ready to Pre-Order

Ahead of its imminent release, engineers can now pre-order BeagleY-AI units from Farnell.

This latest BeagleBoard.org open-source single board computer (SBC) model enables artificial intelligence (AI) workloads to be addressed in areas like industrial automation, robotics and smart buildings. It can support operation of 3 displays simultaneously. Numerous advanced component parts are featured. These include Texas Instruments’ 64-bit AM67A system-on-chip (SoC) with quad-core Arm Cortex-A53 processing resource, alongside 4GBytes of LPDDR4 data storage. Also incorporated are USB3.1, PCIe Gen 3 and PoE interfaces, plus Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth LE 5.4 and 5G wireless connectivity. 

According to Farnell’s Head of SBC Products, Romain Soreau; “This is exciting news for all developers. With its competitive price and user-friendly design, BeagleY-AI provides a positive development experience using BeagleBoard's tried and tested custom Debian Linux image.”
