Semiconductor Assembly & Test Facility Database Further Extended

24 March 2024

Compiled by industry body SEMI, in association with semiconductor consultancy firm TechSearch International, the latest edition of the Worldwide Assembly & Test Facility Database provides details of 670 different facilities around the globe.

These include 500 outsourced semiconductor assembly and test (OSAT) operations, as well 170 integrated device manufacturers (IDMs). Various different packaging technologies and test disciplines are detailed.

“Understanding the location of legacy packaging as well as advanced packaging and test is essential to effective supply-base management,” states Jan Vardaman, President of TechSearch. “The updated Worldwide Assembly & Test Facility Database is an invaluable tool in tracking the packaging and assembly ecosystem.”

“The database increases its focus on advanced packaging while highlighting conventional packaging capabilities and new test capabilities to support innovations in key end markets including automotive,” adds Clark Tseng, SEMI's Senior Director of Market Intelligence.
