Direct Insight & MicroSys Electronics Forge SoM Commercial Partnership

Oxfordshire-located value-add embedded solutions provider and systems integration firm Direct Insight has entered into a long-term collaboration with MicroSys Electronics - which specialises in advanced system-on-module (SoM) and single board computer (SBC) hardware.

Through the new agreement between the 2 companies, Direct Insight will now be able to furnish engineering teams here in the UK with the application-ready technology needed to expedite their projects. Of particular importance will be the MicroSys miriac MPX SoMs, which leverage NXP devices that are based on multi-core Arm Cortex topologies. These include Layerscape processing devices and automotive-grade S32G vehicle network processors. Access to easy-to-use development kits will make it straightforward to get started on projects, with expert advice across a broad range of applications being readily available too.   

As David Pashley, Direct Insight’s CEO explained to EPDT; “Paramount to the companies in our customer base is that they can get support across the full lifecycle of their equipment. We are actively involved in each stage of such lifecycles - from initial concept, prototyping and system development, through to the upgrading of deployed units, obsolescence management, etc. MicroSys shares this philosophy and is consequently an ideal partner for us.”
