The Murata SCH16T-K01 is an advanced multi-axis inertial sensor based on the company’s proprietary 3D MEMS technology. It can be used in numerous heady-duty industrial applications for determining movement and position.

Providing 6 degrees of freedom (6DoF) operation, this automotive-grade combo sensor consists of a 3-axis gyroscope alongside a 3-axis accelerometer.  The gyroscope element has a ±300°/s angular rate measurement range, with 0.5dph typical bias instability and 0.3mdps/vHz noise density, while the accelerometer has a ±8G acceleration measurement range, plus a dynamic range reaching 26G. Strong linearity and offset stability are maintained across the whole operational temperature range (-40°C to +110°C). The output from this device is internally cross-axis compensated. This keeps the end-user calibration overhead involved to an absolute minimum. The compact size format (12mm × 14mm × 3mm) simplifies system integration.
