Webinar on Conducting Edge-Based ML Workloads

09 January 2024

Through its element14 engineering community, Avnet is set to organise a free webinar - which is on the highly topical subject of implementing machine learning (ML) at the edge. This will be done in reference to its RASynBoard hardware.

The webinar, entitled ‘Implementing Machine Learning at the Edge with Avnet RASynBoard’ is being presented in association with technology partners Edge Impulse and Renesas. It will be broadcast live on the 17th January at 5pm UK time, and led by Brian Willess - Technical Solutions Engineer at Avnet.

The RASynBoard is specifically optimised for edge deployment. It features a Syntiant NDP120 neural decision processor, alongside a Renesas RA6M4 host microcontroller unit (MCU), plus various sensors, etc. Those attending the webinar will be able to get more familiar with this hardware and its various functional capabilities, as well as learning where to get hold of open source application code to apply to custom ML for use at the edge. In addition, information will be imparted on how to create ML models in Edge Impulse Studio for RASynBoard usage. Details on how to register can be accessed at the element 14 website.

“We are excited to collaborate with Edge Impulse, Renesas, and Avnet to bring this informative webinar to the engineering and development community,” said Andreea Teodorescu, element 14's Global Director of Product Marketing. “The Avnet RASynBoard is a powerful tool, and this webinar will empower attendees to harness its full potential in addressing challenges associated with machine learning at the edge.”
