3V Lithium-Based Batteries Exhibit <1% Self Discharge

03 January 2024

Now part of Rutronik’s energy storage solution portfolio, the CR2032 3V button cell batteries from Renata are versatile enough to address an array of different potential applications - covering industrial, healthcare, retail and transportation.

With a 225mAh capacity, these batteries utilise lithium manganese dioxide technology. They have a 0.4mA standard discharge current and maintain a stable output throughout their lifetime. Their self-discharge rate, at 23°C room temperature, is <1% per year. A working temperature range that goes from -30°C through to +85°C is supported. They have a 10 year shelf life if kept at 23°C. As an additional service, the Renata offers a lifetime calculation, whereby the operational longevity of the battery is accurately estimated based on the customer's application details.
