Passive Component BoM Scrub Service

BEC Distribution has just announced the availability of its Passive Components Scrub Survey. Offered free-of-charge, it will allow a thorough analysis of the numerous passive components used in customers’ products to be conducted - so that any items in the bill-of-materials (BoM) that are approaching end-of-life (EoL) can be identified, or uncovering places where there is scope to make potential cost savings.
In each case, suitable alternative passive components will be recommended. BEC will be able to provide a competitive quote for any of the new component recommendations, and these will then be sourced through reputable suppliers (with due diligence applied so that their performance and quality, plus direct pin-for-pin compatibility, will all be fully assured). To combat the prolonged lead times associated with current components, BEC Distribution offers direct alternatives to the brand leaders via its BEC Select portfolio. MLCCs, shielded power inductors, open wire-wound chip inductors and thin-film chip inductors are all included. Lead times of 6-8 weeks or kept to, whereas most major manufacturers are currently having to work to 16-30 week timeframes.
