Compact Photorelay Addresses High-Frequency Signal Switching Demands

Exhibiting low insertion loss and supporting accelerated switching speeds (of approximately 2ms), Toshiba’s TLP3475W photorelays achieve a 1.5x improvement in performance compared to the company’s previous generation devices.

Capable of 20GHz operation, they are well suited to use in semiconductor testing applications (including high-speed memory and logic test instrumentation). The current needed for driving the LED is <3.0mA and on-state resistance is typically only 1.1Ohm. The isolation voltage exceeds 300Vrms and an output capacitance below 20pF is witnessed. These devices are supplied in WSON4 packages (with dimensions of just 1.45mm x 2.0mm x 0.8 mm).
