Electronics Bonanza at Maker Faire Rome 2023

11 October 2023

Underlining its continued commitment to the vibrant European maker community, Mouser Electronics will have a major presence at this year’s Maker Faire Rome (20th to 22nd October).

This annual event, which is now in its 11th year, is acknowledged as one of the continent’s biggest of this kind. Those attending will be able to find out about the latest advances and new development ideas in relation to agritech IoT, robotics, wearables, AI, home automation, AR/VR, etc.

Those coming to the Mouser stand (in Hall 4) will get the opportunity to produce their own optoelectronic emitter circuit using the Sparkfun Circuit Scribe Conductive Ink Pen, then take it home with them. They may also participate in a crimping challenge being organised in conjunction with interconnect supply partner Molex. There is also a voice-control version of the retro computer game Pac-Man, which relies on Silicon Labs xG24 hardware. Finally, there will be an energy harvesting demo, showcasing power technology from Analog Devices. Here visitors will be able to generate electricity to power equipment by pedalling a bike.

“Mouser is proud to inspire all kinds of innovators, whether they’re part-time tinkerers, professional engineers, or STEM educators,” states Mark Patrick, Mouser’s Head of Technical Marketing for EMEA. “We are excited to guide attendees at our stand through different tools that can help them bring their ideas to life, and we have a wide range of activities that can help them experience the latest technologies.”
