Scalable HMI Solution Due to be Demonstrated at SPS 2023

21 September 2023

SECO is set to formally introduce its Modular Vision human machine interface (HMI) platform at this year’s SPS (Nuremberg, 14th to 16th November).

Visitors to the company’s stand (Hall 8, Stand 211) will be able to get in-depth details on the engineering innovations involved. Modular Vision HMIs are going to be available in 3 different sizes - 7”, 10” and 15.6”. They'll have resolutions that go from 1024 x 600 to 1920 x 1080 and deliver >400 cd/m2 output brightness. These HMIs will rely on application processing technology that is based on either Arm (supplied by NXP) or x86 (from Intel) architectures. Gbit Ethernet, RS485, CAN, RS232 and USB are among the interfaces incorporated.

"Thanks to these features, we can meet most of our customers' needs with off-the-shelf products. If certain requirements, such as specific interfaces, cannot be met, the HMI portfolio serves as an excellent basis for developing semi-custom products," says Stephan Meyer-Loges, Director Product Management for SECO Northern Europe.
