Compact Linear Position Sensing Devices Highly Optimised for Space-Constrained Environments

The LZ-13 series of position sensors have just been announced by Alliance Sensors. These miniature devices rely on an inductive approach to provide contactless operation - so they are not effected by mechanical wear and tear.
They can be supplied with nominal full-scale ranges going from 2.5mm to 200mm. With external diameters of only 12.7mm, these devices are intended for use in factory automation or assembly machinery applications where there is only limited available space. They are each housed in stainless steel bodies with 1m long cables attached. Proprietary Senset field programmability facilitates set-up once deployed.
