MCU Sample Software Strengthens Development Tool Platform
11 September 2023
Toshiba had just introduced new microcontroller unit (MCU) sample software specifically for engineers using SEGGER Embedded Studio.
This relates to the company’s M4K devices, which are based on the Arm Cortex-M4 processing architecture and are capable of 160MHz operation. It complements the software samples already available in relation to Arm Keil MDK and IAR Embedded Workbench for Arm - providing users with a straightforward out-of-the-box experience. Leveraging the new software package, engineers will be able to access the essential drivers and sample code needed to interact with MCU peripherals (covering implementation of communication interfaces, noise filtering and data conversion elements), thereby allowing them to get projects underway quicker.
“This latest collaborative effort, offering out-of-box software projects for Toshiba’s new M4K and M4G group of MCUs, increases the end customer’s ability to get started immediately, as well as their access to the best tools on the market,” notes SEGGER Marketing Manager Dirk Akemann.
"We are happy that SEGGER’s Embedded Studio can be easily used for our MCUs,” adds Reiner Teroerde, Application Manager at Toshiba Electronics Europe GmbH. “The long-standing cooperation between SEGGER and Toshiba has, once again, produced an excellent benefit for our customers.”
