Solid State Lighting Solution with Elevated Intensity

02 August 2023

Cree LED has just announced its 4th generation XLamp XP-G light emission devices. These emitters leverage the latest innovations in high-power LED technology - resulting in significant enhancements in optical performance.

They are available in correlated colour temperatures (CCTs) that span from 1800K to 6500K and colour rendering index (CRI) values of 70, 80 and 90. Their maximum drive current reaches 3000mA. Optimisation of the optical profile maximises on-axis light output and raises the light intensity by up to 69% compared to rival devices. A 70° cut-off improves coupling efficiency with secondary optics.

“We are excited to launch the next generation of our industry-leading XP-G family of products. This fourth generation offers a remarkable 41% increase in maximum light output compared to XP-G3 Standard, reaching a maximum of 1,130 lumens,” notes Joe Clark, Cree LED's President. “This notable performance combined with the latest optical system delivers a ‘no compromise’ solution for both new and existing systems alike.”
