Arrow Establishes Dedicated Robotics Centre to Progress Sector’s Automation Ambitions

Arrow Electronics, in collaboration with its eInfochips subsidiary, has announced the founding of its Robotics Centre of Excellence.
Through the activities undertaken at this centre, the company will be able to assist customers with the development of next generation automation solutions for use in smart factories, logistics hubs, etc. To support this centre’s work, the distribution firm has made significant investment in engineering staff, equipment, software tools, simulators, etc. It has also partnered with Analog Devices, NVIDIA and onsemi, in order to create numerous reference designs and proof-of-concepts. Customers will now be able to utilise these to enhance their designs and speed up project completion.
“The rapid adoption of artificial intelligence at the edge as well as applications such as autonomous machines will revolutionise the digital factory to enable the deployment and growth of Industry 4.0,” explains Aiden Mitchell, SVP of Global Marketing & Engineering at Arrow Electronics.
