Combination of RISC-V CPUs & Advanced RTOS Accelerate Real-Time Safety/Security-Focused Implementations

Imagination Technologies and Green Hills Software have partnered up to provide a comprehensive ecosystem for RISC-V development projects.

The RISC-V Catapult CPUs from Imagination Technologies will now be supported by Green Hills’ µ-velOSity real-time operating system (RTOS), which is both safety and security certified.
 
The µ-velOSity RTOS is the smallest of Green Hills’ RTOS offerings. It has been updated and optimised for RISC-V architecture usage, and certified to address a broad number of industry standards for functional safety and security. The streamlined design, alongside seamless integration with the MULTI integrated development environment (IDE) and C/C++ compilers, makes it easy to work with. Developers can thereby create advanced high-performance systems for automotive, industrial and IoT applications, while using only minimal footprint.
