Rescue Drones Benefit from High-Density Power Modules

Doosan Mobility Innovation is incorporating Vicor’s compact high-performance power modules in the drones it has developed for carrying out life-saving rescue missions.
The modules are being used to support the hydrogen fuel-cell power packs of these drones, which enable flight to be maintained for 5x longer than would be possible via a conventional Li-Ion battery arrangement. As with any aerial application, the constituent component parts must have small dimensions and be lightweight. This is why Vicor's power modules have proved themselves to be the optimal choice.
