Danisense Current Transducer Targets Automotive Test Benches
18 May 2023
Leveraging its expertise in high-performance current sense transducers, Danisense introduces the new DN1000ID.
This transducer device is predominantly aimed at electric vehicle (EV) test and evaluation work, particularly relating to battery packs and powertrains. Featuring a very large aperture of 41.2mm, the new transducer device enables power cables with large connectors to be easily fitted to EV test benches - thereby allowing for quick changeovers.
The large aperture is an important differentiator, as test operatives often face the issue that the connectors fitted to power cables are bigger than the cable diameter. This makes it difficult to fit them in the aperture of the current transducer, often calling for additional work to address this issue. The DN1000ID is based on a highly stable closed-loop fluxgate technology that delivers elevated levels of accuracy. A linearity of 1ppm is achieved.
