Automotive-Grade GNSS Receiver Module Delivers Sub-Metre Accuracy

Targeted at automotive use, the u-blox ZED-F9L GNSS receiver module leverages L1/L5 band signals to achieve <1m continuous positioning accuracy.

It features fully integrated dead reckoning technology, an advanced 6-axis inertial measurement unit (IMU), plus multiple output interfaces (so that a wider scope of vehicle models can be attended to). The module has 50Hz output rate, with low latency operation making it highly suited to real-time applications. AEC-Q104 qualified, this unit has all the necessary robustness. It supports working temperatures of up to 105°C.

Thanks to sophisticated built-in algorithms, the ZED-F9L is able to draw on GNSS measurements, acquired IMU data, wheel ticks and vehicle dynamics to determine positioning and attitude. The data from these other sources means the accuracy of the output information is assured even when GNSS services are interrupted. This module is pin-to-pin compatible with the company’s ZED-F9K product, thereby providing customers with a simple upgrade path.
