Vicor's M-FIAM9, a DC front-end module, provides EMI filtering and transient protection.
The M-FIAM9 (Military Filter Input Attentuator Module) enables designers to use the company’s Maxi, Mini, Micro series 24V and Maxi series 28V DC/DC converters to meet conducted emission/susceptibility per Mil-Std-461E and input transients to Mil-Std-704A/E/F and Mil-Std-1275A/B/D.
It accepts an input voltage of between 10V and 36V DC and delivers output power up to 500W. It is housed in an industry-standard half-brick module and measures 57.9mm x 55.9mm x 12.7mm. Different models can be mounted onboard or inboard for height-critical applications.
The module can be used for ground vehicle applications, such as communications equipment, targeting systems, flat panel displays, RF jamming and GPS mobile tracking.
The M-FIAM is available in two environmental grades, -55°C to 100°C operating temperature and -65°C to 125°C storage. There are four pin options and three baseplate options available.
