SMT success

The results are in, and by all accounts, SMT/Hybrid /Packaging 2008 was a success, attended by 24,382 international visitors.
According to the organisers, the exhibition and conference for system integration in micro electronics that was held in Nuremberg last June, 633 exhibitors and 87 represented companies from 29 countries presented the latest products, innovations and trends on a total area of 29,600 square metres.
Of the top three job functions for conference attendees, 43% listed themselves as being involved in design and development, whilst 19% consider production as their primary role, and 12% were in executive management.
