Following Messe Munich's decision in the last few days to cancel its electronica 2020 physical event this November & move to a digital format for this year (in response to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic & tightening travel restrictions across Europe), SEMI Europe have announced that its co-located SEMICON Europa 2020 exhibition & conference will follow suit, as expected.

Announcing the news, SEMI CFO & Vice President, Operations, Richard Salsman and SEMI Europe President, Laith Altimime confirmed: "Our business partners at Messe Munich have informed SEMI that they have made the decision, with the approval of their advisory board, to cancel the electronica 2020 physical event and move towards a digital format. Consequently, with the approval of the SEMI Europe Advisory Board, we have made the decision to cancel SEMICON Europa 2020.
