CTL Manufacturing gains UL508A panel building certification
23 March 2020
UK-based electronics manufacturer, CTL Manufacturing is pleased to announce that they have gained accreditation to become a UL508A panel building house.
UL508A is the standard for the construction of industrial control panels, meeting the National Electrical Code (NEC) standard for use in the United States and Canada. This standard provides guidelines to panel builders on various issues including component selection, short circuit current rating (SCCR) and wiring methods.
Darren Fuller, Sales Manager at CTL Manufacturing commented: “Electrical safety is imperative and I am pleased that we can now guarantee an extra level of protection on top of our already extensive testing processes. UL508A standards are specifically written for industrial control panels and all the associated components, such as circuit breakers, fuses, motor controllers, pushbuttons and more. Our engineers will work with customers at the design phase of the project to ensure that the final product will comply with the highest standards.”
Regular checks will be performed on site by UL to verify consistent design procedures, effective maintenance of suitable tooling and best build practices, which in turn, guarantees high quality electrical control systems for the customer.
CTL Manufacturing brings extensive experience and skills to the manufacture of a wide array of control panels, ranging from small wall-mounted enclosures to large control systems. A fully flexible service is provided, adapting to customer requirements and offering assistance from concept through to design, manufacture and certification of the panel. All customers are also appointed a dedicated account manager for day-to-day updates and queries.
CTL Manufacturing is a division of Alpha 3 Manufacturing Limited, a specialist in sub-contract electronics manufacturing and electronic components across four UK sites.
