Promation's ECC-700 TP
A manufacturer of PCB handling equipment and robotic assembly systems has announced that it has developed a custom edge carry conveyor for the controlled temperature release of PCBs after cooling.
The ECC-700 TP from Promation is an edge carry, steel roller chain conveyor that may be positioned prior to AOI, but after reflow or wave exit. It uses an integrated laser thermal probe system so that engineers can select the temperature at which the PCB is to be released to the next process.
Topside cooling fans assist with PCB temperature drop as the laser probe monitors and measures the surface. The probe is mounted on slide rails that allow for front to rear and side-to-side movement to capture the desired thermal read location.
