Automotive, embedded, power, and smart tech at electronica
09 November 2016
Rutronik presented in the Innovation Centre at electronica 2016 to show technologies from the automotive, embedded, power, and smart sectors.
RUTRONIK AUTOMOTIVE presented specific components from selected manufacturers, as well as providing contact personnel for global technical and commercial support in all automotive applications. A major technical highlight was a demo electric sun roof featuring Energy Harvesting based on integrated photovoltaic cells. Another demo presented an ultra-compact, highly efficient DC/DC converter for the 48V on-board electrical system.
RUTRONIK EMBEDDED presented a range of innovations in displays, memory, boards, peripherals for industrial IoT applications, as well as wireless interfaces for robust applications. There was also a demo on show directly from the Intel research lab.
RUTRONIK POWER presented scalable solutions for power conversion and switching, and for connecting resistive, capacitive or inductive loads. The stand featured a hybrid energy storage system comprising lithium-ion batteries and ultracapacitors developed for power tool applications in cooperation between the Westsächsische Hochschule Zwickau University of Applied Sciences and Rutronik. This power management system improves the tool's performance and significantly extends the life of the lithium-ion battery.
RUTRONIK SMART bundles sensors, signal processing, wireless technology, security and power management for IoT applications in the core fields of healthcare/lifestyle, smart home, smart energy, industrial connectivity and connected mobility.
In the Rutronik24 Lounge, visitors were be able to discover all the new features and benefits of the established e-commerce platform Rutronik24.
In addition, Rutronik partners including Diodes, Infineon, Intersil, Micronas, Renesas, Schurter, STMicroelectronics and Swissbit presented their innovations. Samsung SDI exhibited its portfolio of cylindrical lithium-ion batteries exclusively on the Rutronik stand.
In the Supplier Lounge, visitors were able to engage in dialog with experts from Advantech, ASJ, Intel, JAE, Osram, Samsung EM, Telit and Toshiba on the latest technologies, innovations and products.
