Ayla Networks launches ‘Ayla Insights’, a new IoT platform that delivers actionable business intelligence to manufacturers of connected devices.

Ayla Insights is an intelligent IoT platform service purpose built for connected devices. The platform uses the Cloud to enable connected device manufacturers to turn data into useful information, which can then be used to improve the efficiency and quality of the product and service.

Designed with manufacturers in mind, the platform set up is fast and simple, meaning there is no need to hire data experts or write software to extract the information. There are 3 levels to the platform, Basic, Advanced and Designer, all levels allow for role based access so the user can control who sees and uses the data, every manufacturer retains ownership of their IoT data. Advanced level provides manufacturers with detailed reports, helping them to gain a general and industry specific view on the IoT market. Designer level gives manufacturers Cloud based control, allowing them access to the Cloud where they can customise their own platform. Manufacturers have the opportunity to upgrade from basic levels to more advanced if needed.

Ayla Insights has already helped a Fortune 100 HVAC company move from proprietary technology to an open standards cloud platform. With residential and commercial product lines, the HVAC Company needed a platform to evaluate its devices, using Ayla they could update device software and analyse usage trends. Integration into 3rd party services also helped the company obtain a more robust user experience.

A leading Fire Safety Company has also integrated Ayla Insights into its manufacturing service, giving them the data needed to evolve with changing market requirements. Ayla provides the opportunity to focus on the company’s core competency and redefine the segment and most importantly, analyse problems in real-time to aid in the improvement of the connected product.

Ayla Networks is expanding its platform into Europe. Manufacturers can now use a single IoT platform to deploy devices in the US, China and Europe. Pricing is transactional based and varies by tier.
