This is the sixth year of the EPD’s popular E-legacy awards. The annual event celebrates and rewards the innovation of electronics companies. What makes elegacy different is that as well as technological innovation, the event rewards the contribution that entrants make to preserve the environment and improve the communities where we live and work.
Each and every award is voted for by our readers, design engineers and therefore reflects the true reflection of the opinions of design engineers around the UK.
We look at companies involved in every aspect of the industry, from designing for more efficiency and sustainability, through manufacturing and supply chain. We also feature companies who contribute to sustainability by training the engineers of the future.
For the first time this year we include lighting as a category. Lighting is one of the biggest consumers of energy on the planet, with an estimated 11% of all energy generated used as lighting. Solid state lighting has the potential to cut this figure dramatically. This new award is intended to highlight the efforts made by manufacturers and integrators to bring higher efficiency lighting solutions to market.
This year there are six categories. If you work for a company, or know a company that is responsible for outstanding innovation in any of the fields below and deserves recognition from fellow professionals, please nominate them on the link below.
- Outstanding Achievement
- Investment in Education and Training
- Medical Advances
