Vishay introduces new MIL-PRF-83401-qualified single-in-line thin film resistor network

Vishay introduces new MIL-PRF-83401-qualified single-in-line thin film resistor network.

Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. has introduced a new MIL-PRF-83401-qualified (cage code 57489) through-hole, single-in-line thin film resistor network. Featuring low absolute TCR of ± 25 ppm/°C, TCR tracking of 5 ppm/°C, and tight ratio tolerances to ± 0.05 %, the M83401 will outperform all the requirements of MIL-PRF-83401 R, V, and H characteristics.

The resistor network offers three to nine resistors and is available in 6, 8, and 10-pin low-profile configurations in isolated (G) and pin one common (C) schematic styles. The type RZ070, RZ080, RZ090, RZ210, RZ220, and RZ230 device features 100 % burn-in screening for increased reliability in demanding military applications.

The M83401 features Vishay Dale Thin Film's patented SPM passivated Tamelox film for very low noise of < - 30 dB, voltage coefficient of < 0.1 ppm/V, power ratings from 0.06 mW to 0.120 mW per element (0.18 W to 1.0 W per package), and a wide resistance range of 100 Ω to 200 kΩ per resistor. The device operates over a temperature range of - 55°C to + 125°C.

Offering a low 4.95 mm (0.197 in) maximum seated height, the resistor network features a rugged, moulded thermoset plastic construction with gold-plated copper alloy leads. The leads are attached to the metallised alumina substrates by thermocompression bonding. The M83401 is also available in a commercial version: the C83401.

Samples of the M83401 and C83401 resistor networks are available now. Production lead times are 12 to 14 weeks for standard orders.
