Dual-core processor CompactPCI blades with graphics performance and memory capacity.
In accordance with the growing demand for dual independent displays and graphics performance in the industrial computing market, ADLINK announced the availability of the cPCI-3965 and cPCI-6965 Series of CompactPCI processor blades in 3U and 6U heights respectively. Both blades support integrated graphics with 3D graphics engine and dual independent VGA/DVI ports, making them suitable for factory automation, transportation, and medical equipment system integrators who are searching for dual-core processor CompactPCI blades with graphics performance and memory capacity.
The cPCI-3965 and cPCI-6965 feature the Mobile Intel GME965 Express chipset, low power Intel Core2 Duo 2.2 GHz, and up to 4 GB dual channel capable DDR2 RAM, offering a 1.5 times graphics performance gain over the previous 945GME chipset, and provide up to QXGA (2048 x 1536) resolution and 3 Gbps Serial ATA (SATA) bandwidth. The cPCI-3965 and cPCI-6965 enable graphics performance with the integrated Mobile Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100 and its 32-bit 3D graphics engine with Microsoft DirectX 9 and SGI OpenGL 1.5 support, and provide dual independent displays through VGA and DVI ports on the cPCI-3965, and two DVI ports on the front panel of the cPCI-6965.
“The ADLINK value cPCI-3965 and cPCI-6965 CompactPCI blades enable customers to reduce their equipment investments without compromising performance,” stated Eric Kao, Senior Manager of ADLINK's Modular Computing Product Center. “With the combination of dual-core performance, 3D-rich graphics features, and a high capacity system memory space, the ADLINK cPCI-3965 and cPCI-6965 are ideal choices for numerous applications for customers looking for cost-effective pricing.”
With regards to storage and expansion, the cPCI-3965 and cPCI-6965 both have a reserved space for a 2.5” SATA hard drive mounted onboard and additional SATA signal connectors for external drives. Both blades also provide a true IDE interface CompactFlash socket for mission critical embedded applications. The cPCI-6965 supports one PMC slot for additional I/O on the front panel. Rear Transition Modules are available for the cPCI-3965 & cPCI-6965 Series to provide further I/O expansion.
