EPDT's December issue now available

05 December 2017

This month’s issue contains stories on sensing technologies and industrial applications, as well as our regular Electronics Distribution supplement. Our cover feature explores how artificial audio intelligence technology is enabling smart home (and beyond!) applications.

Our December issue (links to digital version; click here to register for the print version) includes a tutorial examining how to use machine vision to drive up quality by performing critical inspection on industrial production lines, and a Q&A outlining the challenges facing machine builders and what can be done to ease the selection, connection and configuration of electromechanical drives solutions.

We also preview 2018’s first major industrial trade show, Southern Manufacturing & Electronics. And Editor Mark Gradwell's STEM column explores the role that large-scale engineering projects, such as BLOODHOUND SSC, play in inspiring the next generation of engineers and scientists.

Finally, in our Electronics Distribution supplement, the chairman of the ECSN (Electronics Components Supply Network) reviews the UK electronics market in 2017 and considers its outlook for the year ahead – all before we cover topics including community building, the demands facing supply chain operators, IoT security and test & measurement equipment strategy.

As always, your thoughts and feedback is more than welcome.

Looking forward to next month – and next year!

Assistant Editor
