Introducing your new EPDT editors
31 May 2017
The eagle-eyed among you might have noticed some new and different names and faces around EPDT over the last month or so.
Esteemed and long-standing editor, Alistair Winning, departed EPDT around a month ago to return to his native Scotland and be closer to his family. Replacing Alistair, I have come on board as Consultant Editor, along with Assistant Editor, Sam Holland, who you may have seen introducing your weekly newsletter. My background is in industrial technology writing and communications, with almost 15 years' experience in this engineering and technology sector, so I’m very familiar with EPDT. So, I’d like to thank Alistair for steering EPDT editorially over his six-year tenure – helping to make it the UK’s leading monthly technical journal for electronics design and test engineers.
From next month’s June 2017 issue (which should hit desks in a few days), the first from Sam and myself, EPDT will include a monthly editorial opinion piece – and I have used the first one to introduce and outline my vision for EPDT going forward. You’ll also hear directly from Sam and me regularly in blog posts like this on the website and in the newsletter, as well as via EPDT’s social media channels. In fact, we want to make use of all the channels available: the monthly magazine (in print and digital), the website, the newsletter, social media and live events – to speak to you as we look to bring you the best in industry and product news and trends, technical features, case studies, tutorials and more. And we want to hear from you too, whether you have feedback on stories we’ve run in print or online, or ideas for topics you’d like to see us cover in the future – so please feel free to get in touch!
